Washington DC is the second most expensive office market in the United States behind Manhattan. The area has a successful business climate as a result of being the hub for America’s political system and the industries associated with it. There are a number of major educational institutions in the area that produce a skilled work force that lends itself to the area’s growing bio tech and research sectors. Most space is concentrated in Northern Virginia and southern Maryland with space inside the city generally being Class A or government space.
